Not all activity and service happens within our church community. On any given day there are people within Mariners who are serving the needs of people on the Coastside and around the world. Most of the time this happens on a very informal and personal level because God places each of us in circumstances and relationships that are unique to each of us.

We do have some strutured teams and ministry events from caring for elderly "shut-ins" to orphanages we sponsor in Russia and Mexico.
Community Care Team: Our purpose is to visit the elderly, disabled, chronically ill, lonely, frail or homebound. We provide encouragement, support, friendship, care and concern, and we show that we value them by investing our time. We serve them so that they might experience the love of God through us. Contact: Bonnie at 726-7226
Russian Orphanage Team: Each winter we take a team to an orphanage we have developed a relationship with in Zarechnyy, a villiage 5 hours south of Moscow. We go to present a camp experience for the children during their school term break. Contact
Len if you are interested in going.
Mexico Orphanage Trip: Our Breakout club takes a team of graduating 5th graders and one of their parents to Rancho de Sus Ninos every June. To see the pictures from this year's trip visit our

Certainly Mariners is not limited to these listed ventures. There are regularly reoccuring activities like Adopt-a-Family,
Operation Christmas Child, hosting blood drives, encouragement baskets, and more that happen throughout the year. If you would like to present a ministry idea or opportunity, or better yet, gather a team and lead one, just contact any of the pastoral staff for guidance on how to begin. Serving in places you have a passion or interest for and in ways God has gifted you are always the most satisfying and productive!
